This season is over. Finally! Never before I have been so happy for a season to be over. I mean, usually, once the Reunion show ends, I’m always a little sad knowing that I’ll never see again some of the people I have followed and rooted for or against during four months. This time? Yes, I’ll be sad to not see people like Francesca or Ralph again, but this sadness was nothing compared to the joy of being done with Natalie, Ashley and hopefully Boston Rob (although, I don’t believe he’ll never be back). The episode itself? The least suspenseful episode ever. I know the editors didn’t have much material to Continue reading »
And I thought that having only Ometepe left would make this season interesting… No, it was just another predictable episode, with nobody but Rob willing to play the game, again… At this point, the only thing that could redeem Redemption Island is if Phillipactually turns out to be the most amazing special agent and reveals at the final tribal that he played them all since day one. Anything short of that will rank this season among the worst. Also, I know I’m not going to make friends here, but what’s up with the religious nutjobs getting glorified this season? I know America is currently on a slippery slope heading towards more Continue reading »
At first I thought the title of the episode would refer to something much nastier and related to the fact that Phillip wouldn’t find his shorts. I’m relieved. However, this is the only thing I’m relieved about really. And I’m pissed at Jeff Probst. I’m pissed at him, because after two disappointing non All-Stars seasons (Samoa and Nicaragua) I had high hopes for this season, the cast seemed very interesting and Probst promised this season was going to be in the Top Five. Or did he mean the Top Five of the worst seasons ever?Seriously? Is there anything to redeem this season at all? First, the most interesting female players Continue reading »
Gosh another episode painful to watch and this time not for pagonging reasons (although it’s still going on, let’s not forget about it). I hate it when race becomes an issue and it really did last night. Sad. That being said, my suspicious mind still seems a bit suspicious about a thing or two related to that incident. Let’s move on and see what can be said. Redemption Island – David Murphy out of the game and first member of the jury: Well, not much to say here, I had placed high hopes in David, they’re gone. End of story. The fact that he is the first member of Continue reading »
I’m afraid I like this season less and less. I mean what”s fun about watching the pagonging of a tribe? It was in the very first season, but since then, hell no. And if at least it was a tribe pagonging another one, but no it’s a player doing it to everybody else. And if at least this player was a genius, but no he’s able to do that because it’s his fourth time playing and he was put in a tribe full of recruited clueless people. The audience of Survivor is at an all time low right now, and I hope the producers are taking a clue from it. Stupid Continue reading »
Yeah for the merge! Say what you want, except for a couple of seasons, the post-merge part is always the better. Sure we’ll still have a few people thinking in terms of teams. Oh well, we need jury members after all… A very interesting episode, quite a frustrating one too as some people (Matt and Andrea) could have turned the game around, and instead Matt decided to go with being an idiot. As you -hopefully- already know if you’re reading these lines, that just got him sent back to Redemption Island, which is such a waste after winning all of those challenges. Talking about being sent back to Redemption Island, Continue reading »
Not an amazing unpredictable episode this week, not much seems to have happened, but it’s a very interesting episode as far as laying out the different “units” at play just before the merge. Redemption Island Just another day at Redemption Island. Matt won, the loser spilled some beans to the audience and Matt went back to his camp waiting for his next opponent. – Stephanie Valencia is gone: I almost liked Stephanie towards the end. OK, “like” is a strong word, at least “not hate as much” but I guess this is only because she had nobody to be bitchy about anymore. She still managed to be annoying with her Continue reading »
I gotta admit, this episode was somewhat boring. Less boring than most episodes of the previous season, but still quite disappointing after the firework that the beginning of the season was (and I hope that it means that the second half will be intense too) Redemption Island I generally like the Redemption Island twist so far, especially the part where the “audience” can communicate with the duelists and the other team, but as Dalton Ross pointed out this week, it also takes out the most intense part of the viewing experience, the one that made Survivor such a interesting and popular show. The fact that when you’re voted out, that’s Continue reading »
I like this time in the season where things are set into motion for the post-merge part. First I kinda was wondering why Probst has been raving about this season for weeks, it seemed obvious that the Zapatera Six were going to be the final six. Now, not so much. Andrea and Phillip maybe up to something, the Zapatera Sixis just waiting to crack (note to future Survivors contestants: a six person alliance is just to big to work).Let’s see all of this in more details. Redemption Island Is that the face they take when they try to charm people? – Kristina Kell is gone: Apparently she was really physically Continue reading »
Alright people, you’ll have to be good with me. As I mentioned yesterday, I was too busy to blog about this week’s episode and today, I’m having a hard concentrating on this as the sad news from Japan are “diverting” me the say the least (for those who don’t know I have some personal connections to Japan, and while I don’t know anybody that was directly hit by the earthquake and the tsunami, it is unsettling nonetheless).Ok, let’s talk about Survivor. Another interesting episode, although I’m getting more and more annoyed at the casting directors and/or editors for having so many uninteresting people season after season lately. Samoa was a Continue reading »
