Survivor 20, Episode 13: Loose Lips Sink Ships

What’s up with the word “ship” in the last 3 episode titles? I thought the show had a deal with Sprint, not with Ship (I know, that’s a bad joke). Ok, as this is most likely going to be my last Survivor post of the season -I won’t really be able to blog in the next few weeks as I’ll be traveling a lot and all, and I doubt it will be very relevant to blog about the season finale three weeks after it aired- I’ll do things a little differently. Sure, I’ll wave bye bye to Rupert, but then I’ll mostly assess the chances of winning of each remaining Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 12: A Sinking Ship

You don’t know how happy I am that Danielle is gone. And no this is nothing personal (after all, she brought me a lot of traffic before this was all canceled by me changing URL). I’m saying this because I have to admit something. A few months ago, when I learned that the next season of Survivor was going to be another All-Stars with a Heroes Vs Villains theme, I died to know who was going to be on it, so I looked through the web and I found the list of of the contestants in a chart. But I soon realized that this chart was telling the booting order! Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 11: Jumping Ship

Every episode really delivers something special this season. A catfight this week!!! Wow… And I’m sure that a lot of it was cut… Oh and the end of Amanda’s rule as the longest lasting Survivor. Amanda Kimmel voted out. Wow, I didn’t think I was going to write this someday. No, that’s not true, it has been previous obvious for a few episodes that Amanda didn’t stand a chance to make it to the finale this time. As she stated herself in her final words, she made too many mistakes this season, and left with people like Colby and Rupert that just can’t play the game, and Candice that has Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 10: Going Down in Flames

Finally, the merge… And once again, what an episode, and especially what a tribal council! Amanda Kimmel She blew it. Amanda finally took action. Amanda finally stopped being a follower for a second and even succeeded in manipulating Parvati and making her believe they were rekindling their old alliance from Micronesia, and Parvati even told her she had an idol. That was the info and the wedge the Heroes needed to figure out what’s really going on with the Villains. But she blew it. Not only Parvati having an idol didn’t ring a bell about the fact that the story that Russell told was a complete lie, but on top Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 9: Survivor History

This episode was going to be a pretty almost dull episode if “Survivor History” hadn’t been made. What JT tried to do will most likely come down as one of the boldest move or one of the biggest mistake in Survivor History. And seeing how he was wrong on his assumption of a women alliance in the Villains tribe, I’m afraid it’s the latter. We’ll see. But I know that people out there are already calling this stupidest mistake on Survivor. I disagree, while it’s most likely a huge mistake, this move is actually a smart one, it just may backfire big time. Heroes   If it is a stupid Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 8: Expectations

Seriously, this season has to be one of the best ever, don’t you think. For the past few weeks, the main engine of the show was the battle between Boston Rob and Russell, one of the biggest duel in Survivor (duel of players, duel of egos, duel of everything), and there was a possibility that everything falls flat after this battle is over. Luckily things keep on being more than interesting. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it stays this way until the end. My only fear is that with all the big characters falling one after the other we end up with a winner that’s disappointing… Heroes   Have Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 7: I'm not a Good Villain

I know, this blog has mostly bee about Survivor lately… Sorry about that if you don’t care about it (just learn French and go read my French blogs). I’ve been a bit busy with other things (including redesigning layouts and stuff), but I promise I’ll talk about other things soon (including trying to catch up with my Lost analysis). But in the meantime, this season keeps on delivering. Every week, it’s great episode, after great episode. I hope things stay the same after the merge (I’m afraid things become predictable then, but who knows). Heroes   Finally they’re starting winning. Is that the same thing that what happened several times Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 6: Banana Etiquette

Wow, this episode was amazing, one of the best ever. That tribal council?! Definitely the most incredible in Survivor history. First I was disappointed it was not going to be a Russell Vs Boston Rob, it’s even better, it makes the Russell Vs Boston Rob feud even stronger and bigger… Heroes   What is there left to say about them, expect that they’re one of the stupidest, lamest, worst tribes in Survivor history? JT is the only one that still has some respect from me, because he’s the only one that knows how to play this game. All of the other ones look like they’re beginners, not two or even Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 5: Knights of the Round Table

Interesting episode, but a little more of the same. The Heroes are falling apart because egos don’t allow to have team unity. The Villains have it together, but something nasty is brewing, something very nasty… I can’t wait ! Heroes The team is really falling apart, and I don’t see any way out of this… They’re not winning challenges, their spirits are down, and this won’t get any better. They’ll need some sort of twist to stand a chance. Amanda Kimmel Her logic for keeping James is that he’ll do and vote exactly how she wants. But as we know, she’s not the most decided person. So if none of Continue reading »

Survivor 20, Episode 4: Tonight, We Make Our Move

This season is very interesting. I was extremely disappointed in the first All-Stars season (but Micronesia was one of the best), so far this season delivers. That was another great episode, I really hope that it’s going to be like this all season long (although I’m afraid that mid-season, around merge time, may be a little predictable… or not, we’ll see…) It’s very interesting to see how different both tribes are, and how the Villains are behaving more and more “nicely” whereas the Heroes are being more and more scheming and “villainous”. But to be fair, this is mostly because the Heroes have been to Tribal Council three times already, Continue reading »
